In a recent interview with LA Time’s Blog The Envelope ‘Dark Knight Rises’ stars Christian Bale (Bruce Wayne/Batman) & Gary Oldman (Gordan); They both express their comments on feeling pressure with Director Christopher Nolan’s third and final Batman film. Here’s what they had to say:
Christian Bale: “In terms of box office, I don’t feel any pressure. I never saw Batman and Bruce Wayne as a big tent pole. It was just another character I love playing. But I do feel a creative pressure. It would be wrong if I didn’t feel that.”
Gary Oldman: “It’s more pressure on Chris [Nolan] than on me. If they feel disappointed with Gordon, that’s one thing. If they feel disappointed with the movie, that’s another. Chris is too classy to make a movie just for the sake of doing a third one. It’s a terrific story, and it’s going to be epic.”
Gary went on to say that fans will get to see what’s in store when the prologue is released on December 16th in front of ‘Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol’ 70mm IMAX Screening’s. I say If anyone can do it it’s Chris Nolan.
