Slash film found out that some IMAX theaters have already started to sell Dark Knight Rises Tickets! Some are even sold out! Here’s a snip-it of what Slash Film found out:
We’ve contacted Fandango to get some more information on these tickets (such as, is this the earliest advance tickets have ever been on sale?) but, for now, here are the links we’ve found:
AMC Loews Metreon 16 in San Francisco, CA
AMC Loews Lincoln Square 13 in New York, NY
AMC CityWalk Stadium 19 in Los Angeles, CA
It seems like only tickets for AMC IMAX theaters are now on sale, but we’ll update this story when we have more information or in the likely case these get shut down.

UPDATE 1: Several people have said that tickets went on sale, in the theater, when Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol was released with The Dark Knight Rises prologue. New York, for example, has “been sold out for weeks” according to The Film Stage.
