Dark Knight Rises Had The Most Shooting Days This Year In LA

Christopher Nolan’s third Batpic generated the most shooting activity among features lensed on the streets of Los Angeles last year with 249 permitted days, according to figures provided Tuesday by the FilmL.A. permitting agency. ABC’s “Private Practice” was the busiest TV series with 424 days.

“The Dark Knight Rises,” listed on permits as “Magnus Rex,” racked up six consecutive weeks during the late summer and early fall as the leading offlot feature production. Many of the locations used during the Batshoot were in central Los Angeles including the Los Angeles River, under the 6th Street Bridge; Dominguez Channel near El Camino College; Grand Avenue downtown; Figueroa and 4th Street downtown; 830 S. Hill at the Broadway Trade Center; and Frank Court Alley between 6th and 7th streets.
