OK! It is time for a little bit of news & a little bit of speculation!
Recently Empire Magazine sat down with possibly the most cryptic star in The Dark Knight Rises, Marion Cotillard.
She gave an extremely brief interview to give a little more insight on her character: Miranda Tate
From Cotillard:
Miranda is fascinated by Wayne Enterprises. They go through difficulties, and she wants to help provide the world clean energies. She’s a good guy. I cannot say much – but I kiss him.
Personally, I do not think this is much information that we do not already know from her character synopsis and the whole. 5 seconds of trailer time. But, if you read between the lines, you may start to see a bit more there…
Apparently Tate has a fascination with Wayne Enterprises, but it does not specify if this is a positive or negative fascination. Could she be alluding to her obsession with Bruce Wayne following the death of Ra’s al Ghul? (Of course this is assuming she is playing a Talia al Ghul-esk figure).
Also, beside the difficulties it says they go through, (& the destruction of Gotham City WOULD be a difficulty) it says she wants to provide the world with clean energies. Nuclear energy is an extremely clean energy, & with the recent confirmation of the fusion reactor, could this be another hint at her true role? It again does not say it is in a positive manner.
Finally, she says she is a good guy. Which is great, but I do believe Ra’s al Ghul saw himself as a good guy as well. Plus she kisses him!
