DKN goes to 35th Annual Superman Celebration

Hey guys Adam Prince here with a little community spotlight. Being that the  Man of Steel was coming to the big screen I thought it would be cool to get into the spirit of Superman so luck has it that the 35th Annual Superman Celebration in Metropolis, Illinois was going on June 6-10. I was at the event all weekend. Superman actors like  Margot Kidder, Michael Rosenbaum, Tracy Scoggins, and many more were at the event. Over at the Metropolis Planet  writer Terra Temple reported that 268 people dressed in Superman costumes surrounded the giant statue in hopes to get into the Guinness Book of World Records. Unfortunately it didn’t happen. I blame it on the rain that came in that day. Metropolis at one time held the record. As it stands the current record is held by 437 employees of the Nexen Inc. in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Here are a few pictures taken from the event.

I would like to thank Metropolis, Illinois for hosting the event, and letting me have free water all day lol. To find out more about the event click the high-lighted links over at  Metropolis Post , Superman Celebration, or head over to the Superman Celebration Facebook page to keep up to date on whats going on.

I'm a BIG Batman fan. Back in the day I would write scripts and get my friends together to make Batman movies. From real Batman suits to a wide collection of Batman stuff from over the years I have never have grown up when it comes to Batman. I go to Comic cons and dress up in full Batman (Nashville's Dark Knight) gear and hang out with fellow comic fans and take pictures. Hanging out with friends is always a blasty blast when they can find the time or when I can. I'm a big movie buff or at least a little buff lol. I love the extreme activities. White water rafting, playing paintball, just about anything I can get into. I have been in a few different kinds of Martial arts. Sometimes I go hunting on the family farm but its rare. When I lived in Bell Buckle I was on the BBVFD for about 5 years --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
