Legendary Pictures Strikes Deal With Universal

WB and Legendary Pictures have parted ways for good after their successful eight year run that made such hit films as the Dark Knight Trilogy, Watchmen, Clash of the Titans, Inception, and most recently, Man of Steel. Moving on to other things, they’ve made a deal with NBC/Universal, with something coming down the pipeline in 2014. They’ll still be working on that new Godzilla film for WB, as well as Seventh Son, but what does this mean for the future of DC’s comic book movies? Well, apparently Dune Entertainment,  known for it’s work on Avatar, Predators, Machete, and is doing the upcoming The Wolverine film, will be taking up the reigns. Along with Dune Entertainment will be Brett Ratner and James Packer’s RatPac Entertainment. This is all just financial funding mind you, but it’s interesting to see what deals WB will make in the future to fund the rest of their DC Movie Universe in the wake of Man of Steel’s success at the box office.
