Is it me, or do people from other countries seem to have better ideas? Then again, I may just not watch the news enough.
Ross Chilcott, 29, of London decided to surprise his girlfriend by rappelling down the historic Guildhall building, then “apprehended” two of his friends that were dressed as crooks. After he caught them, he took a diamond ring from one and presented it to his wife-to-be. As she accepted his proposal, a band Chilcott had hired started playing the Batman TV theme song.
Chilcott, who is an abseiling instructor by profession, said that his girlfriend likes Batman and she loves seeing him embarrass himself, so he knew she’d love it.
Excuse me while I go find someone to propose to like this. I think it’s one of the sweetest things someone could do, even if it is a bit cheesy.
