Batman Arkham Origins Playstation Exclusive: Knightfall Pack Detailed

Playstation 3 owners have an extra incentive to get the upcoming Batman: Arkham Origins on that platform. It has been announced for a while that PS3 consumers of the game would get the extra content, but this is the first time we get to see it in action as well as further details on what exactly is in the exclusive content.

Inspired by the events of the DC Comics Batman: Knightfall saga, the exclusive PlayStation Knightfall Pack features:

  • Knightfall Batman Skin
  • Classic TV Series Batman Skin
  • 3 Combat Maps
  • 2 Predator Maps

The content includes two skins (Classic TV Batman and Knightfall Batman) and five challenge maps (Azrael Does Not Protect, City on Fire, Venom Connection, Turning Point and No Rest for the Wicked). Three of the maps are combat maps against waves of enemies and the other two maps are in the franchise’s signature Predator gameplay style. You’ll fight Bane, Venom users, and Blackgate prisoners in a crime-ridden Gotham City, where Bane’s forces have seized control of several key locations where only Batman can stop them.

The Classic TV Batman skin is the costume worn in the 1966 Batman TV series by Adam West. I’m sure Mr. West wishes he had that physique (so do I). The Knightfall Batman skin is the costume worn by replacement Batman, Jean-Paul Valley (aka Azrael), after Batman’s back was broken by Bane. It has been confirmed that the skins can be used during the game’s story campaign from the very get go.

There is no word yet what the exclusivity window is on this content.

Batman: Arkham Origins is developed by WB Montreal and published by WB Games. The game will be out October 25th worldwide on the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii U.

Carlos Cabaleiro

Carlos Cabaleiro illustrator+designer+storyteller I grew up just outside of New York. The eldest of three talented siblings; fascinated by my imagination and superheroes. Relocated to Florida and attended Miami International School of Art and Design. Worked as a freelance graphic designer to pay the bills. Somewhere along the way, I ended up taking a detour and now I'm back to making a living from my talent. Back and better than ever, I'm making my way in the world armed with my imagination, skill, talent, determination and the love and support of my fiancee, Kristina, and my family and friends. I now reside in Central Florida and share my studio with my sidekick, Grayson the dog wonder (he doesn't draw but he likes to keep me company). I am influenced by Bruce Timm, Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez, Michael Golden, Egon Schiele, Leonardo D'vinci, Alex Ross, Wally Wood, Carl Banks and Don Newton. I focus primarily on illustration dealing with all things fandom, with a strong focus on sequential storytelling (storyboards, comics). I've worked for clients such as Ocean Drive magazine, Bacardi advertising and High Impact Comics. A HUGE Batman fan. I get excited for DC Comics, anything by Bruce Timm and Paul Dini, James Robinson, FX's Justified and really cool action figures. I love to read and mostly lean towards fantasy or classics. Some favorites are: Dresden Files series by Jim Butcher, Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde, anything by Edgar Allan Poe, Raylan Givens short stories by Elmore Leonard and my all-time favorite, Dracula by Bram Stoker.
