Check out that cover art for the home video release of Justice League: Throne of Atlantis (available January 27, 2015)! I think it just might be the most beautiful cover for a DC animated movie to date. In addition to the artwork, we have a full rundown of the bonus features to be included on the Blu-Ray version.

Synopsis: As Orm and Black Manta make their move against the surface world after the battle with Apokolips forces in Justice League War had deadly consequences for Atlantis, the queen of the lost underwater civilization searches for her other son, Orm’s half brother Arthur. Living on the surface world with powers he doesn’t understand, Arthur Curry steps into his destiny as Aquaman, teaming with the Justice League to save and unite all people of the world.

Special Features:
-Villains of the Deep – From Ocean Master, to Black Manta, to King Shark, each villain operates from his own deep sense of conviction presenting an incredible challenge for the hero in Arthur Curry, aka Aquaman. This documentary goes into the biographical detail of the villains.
-Throne of Atlantis: 2014 NY Comic-Con Panel – Panel with James Tucker, Heath Corson, Andrea Romano, Phil Bourassa and Matt Lanter
-”Robin and Nightwing” Bonus Sequence – Producer James Tucker provides video commentary for this exciting bonus sequence where Robin and Nightwing join forces.
-Scoring Atlantis: The Sound of the Deep – Every great film needs a great musical score. Filled with emotion, music takes us on a dynamic journey as we adventure with the hero. Throne of Atlantis, takes us on that quest through the eyes of Arthur Curry
-Throne of Atlantis Soundtrack
-A Sneak Peak at Batman vs. Robin – An advance look at the next DC Animated Feature Film with the creators and cast.
-TV Episodes:
–Batman: The Brave and the Bold, “Aquaman’s Outrageous Adventure!”
–Batman: The Brave and the Bold, “Evil Under the Sea!”
–Aquaman, “Menace Of The Black Manta”
–Justice League Unlimited, “Far from Home”
-Includes UltraViolet so you can enjoy the film on many different compatible devices.

One that really caught my eye was the “Robin and Nightwing” featurette. It sound like it’s an added short and not a scene from the movie itself. If that isn’t on the Two-Disc Special Edition DVD, that’s great incentive to buy the Blu-Ray version. Speaking of which. details concerining that edition of the DVD release and its features are yet to be disclosed. The single disc DVD will sport only the Batman vs. Robin sneak peek.

For the heck of it, here’s a larger photo of the cover for your viewing pleasure. How awesome is it?
