‘Batman v. Superman’ is Looking for an Actor to Play ‘Young Ben Affleck’

Though Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice wrapped filming about a week ago, it looks like BvS might already be scheduling some reshoots. It’s not uncommon for movies to call for reshoots, which often has the crew gathering to re-film some scenes, as the name suggests, that might have not come out as expected or film entirely new scenes altogether. Though not explicitly stated, a recently surfaced casting call seems to suggest that BvS is shooting new scenes

The casting notice is looking for a “young Ben Affleck” for a Warner Bros. feature to be filmed in New Mexico. The 10-12 year old Caucasian boy must have knowledge of martial arts. Though not specifically stated, it’s obvious that this will be for a young Bruce Wayne. The martial arts requirement indicates another flashback sequence of some sort apart from the Bat’s flashback origin story, which has already been filmed. Maybe we’ll be getting a flashback montage of his training. Based on the urgency of the posting, these reshoots are on a very tight schedule.

Here’s the casting notice:

Midthunder Casting is conducting a talent search for a Warner Brothers feature film which will heavily feature 10 -AND- 12 year old, Caucasian boys (SAG principal roles – to portray a young BEN AFFLECK) who have extensive WUSHU, KUNG FU, or PENTAK SILAT training and experience.

They will consider high level (state – world champion) competitors in all martial arts forms. Those qualified and interested must send photos and video clips of fighting skills, training and competitions, as well as contact info to:

MidthunderCasting@gmail.com

***NO LATER THAN MONDAY MORNING 12/15***

Tip: Title your email with child’s age and type of Martial Arts practiced.

What do you think? Are we looking at a flashback training montage?
