Gotham season 2 airs in just a few weeks. In the meantime, Fox and WB want you to grab Gotham season 1 on home media! That way you can catch up on season 1 before jumping into season 2. To market the box set, they released part of a featurette that is presumably included on the DVD/Blu-ray.
It’s actually a pretty neat little clip focusing on the setting of Gotham. I know I’ve had many conversations with friends and random people online as to where to place this show on our chronology. The presence of cell phones in this largely tech-free world has always made this show’s approximate time very difficult to pinpoint. Like most artists, they simply created their own time and aesthetic, inspired deeply by the 70s, but cell phones likely exist for plot.
Gotham season 1 will hit stores September 8th. Gotham season 2 hits TV on September 21st.
