Gotham Academy to Crossover with Lumberjanes This Summer

Those looking to fill the void between Gotham Academy’s first volume, which is set to conclude this spring, and the second that is set to launch this fall as part of the “Rebirth” initiative, are in luck. DC has teamed up with BOOM! Studios to bring us a six-issue crossover mini-series involving Gotham Academy and the GLAAD Media Award nominated Lumberjanes, which will begin shipping this June.

The Village Voice offers this initial description:

It’s a natural fit: Both series follow an ensemble cast of young characters as they grapple with normal teenage stuff (love, tragedy, identity) and the kind of stuff that most teens will never have to face, like yetis (Lumberjanes) and Batman’s nemesis Killer Croc (Gotham Academy). The limited series is written by Chynna Clugston-Flores (Blue Monday) and illustrated by Rosemary Valero-O’Connell (Lumberjanes).

In the meantime, you can check out some cover art provided by Mingjue Chen below.

After falling into a vat of chemicals, this fellow adopted the name "Eric Joseph." Some say he is a freelance writer, while others say he can be found frequenting conventions and nightspots in the Detroit area. Needless to say, he prefers his background to be multiple choice.
