‘Batman – The Telltale Series’ Gets Episode 2 Release Date

Telltale has announced the release date for Episode 2 of Batman – The Telltale Series.  Titled Children of Arkham, the second episode will be available on Tuesday, September 20th on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.  Additional platform release dates will be announced later in September as well.

So far so good for Telltale with their Batman series.  Episode 1, titled Realm of Shadows, received mostly positive reviews, scoring a 74 on Metacritic.  This also keeps Telltale on pace to release an episode a month until the end of 2016, which they promised back in June.    One of the companies biggest weakness is its inconsistent release schedule for episodes, but so far they are 2 for 2.

For the uninitiated, Telltale creates games where instead of your typical platforming or shooting gameplay, you are taken through a story where your decisions influence the events and relationships in the game.  It’s a unique twist of storytelling in video games, and has been very successful with titles such as The Walking Dead, Tales from the Borderlands, and The Wolf Among Us, all receiving positive critical and fan reactions.

Telltale’s Batman series is following a young Bruce Wayne, early in his Batman career, and allows you to make your own choices as the Caped Crusader.  Are you the violent, Frank Miller type of Batman?  Maybe you’re more like Adam West?  Do you have a great relationship with Alfred or does he not approve of your actions?  The choice is yours in Batman – The Telltale Series.

For those who would prefer physical copies of your video games, the disc will be available at retailers starting on September 13th in North America and will work like a Season Pass.  The disc will come loaded with the first episode (already released) and will grant access to the remaining 4 as they become available via downloadable content.

Have you already started your adventure in Telltale’s Batman series?  What kind of Batman are you planning to be?  Let us know!
