‘Suicide Squad’ Week Five Box Office Update

With the news that Suicide Squad would passed Man of Steel at the domestic box office, fans were in store for another high-grossing weekend for the film.

This past weekend, Suicide Squad pulled in an extra $10 million at the North American box office. The David Ayer-helmed flick dropped a very minuscule 18% from the previous weekend. Keep in mind, that the movie-going weekend is not quite done yet, since America has a Labor Day holiday weekend. The movie is expected to pull in an extra $3+ million, allowing it to reach the $300 million dollar milestone by the end of Monday.

On the international market, Suicide Squad made an additional $11.8 million from its 65 territories, making the foreign gross $375.5 million and an overall, worldwide gross of $672.9 million.

With the movie set to debut in Japan this coming weekend, can it push its worldwide total to the $700 million mark?

Suicide Squad is now playing in theaters.
