‘Big Hero 6’ Actor Reaches Out to Ben Affleck to Play Robin

Little casting news has been made about the Ben Affleck-led Batman movie, other than the recent Deathstroke announcement. But that has not stopped actor Ryan Potter from making an audition video to be the new Robin.

Potter, who is best known as the voice of Hiro from Big Hero 6, put up a Youtube video of him utilizing various martial arts moves and stunts, while wielding a bo staff. The appearance of the bo staff and Potter directly quoting  Tim Drake at the end of the video seems to point to his interest in playing Drake in the upcoming Batman movie.

No announcements have been made on whether Drake or any other Robin will appear in the film. In fact, it has not even been officially established in-universe whose Robin suit appeared in a memorial from Batman v Superman-although a WB tour guide did confirm it was Jason Todd.

Even if Affleck decides to go in a totally different direction with the movie, it is still a treat to see enthusiasm for a Boy Wonder role. Watch the video below and imagine what an amazing Robin Potter can potentially be.

The untitled Batman movie is set to be released in 2018.
