Who Should Play Red Hood? DC Fans Speak Up

Jason Todd exists in the DCEU, just ask the WB Studio tour guide. He was apparently the one in the Robin suit when the Joker (and Harley Quinn?) murdered him. As comic book fans know, Jason Todd (or anyone for that matter) doesn’t stay dead. Instead, he suits up as the antihero Red Hood, who has had a history of going from villain, to hero, and everything in between. But what about the DCEU? If he is to return to the land of the living, which Hollywood thespian would like to take a shot at him? Fans from change.org are speaking up via a petition, and have a frontrunner.

Shia LaBeouf?

Not against it. The guy has a huge resume, as well as range. The mainstream audience know him as Sam Witwicky from the Transformers films. Others recall him from smaller, independent movies. And some Disney fans, like myself, remember him from Even Stevens.
Wish fulfillment, maybe, but I just don’t know if RH will be showing up in these films. I like the character’s suit, and the character actually, but don’t want the movies to reflect the comic books where NO ONE STAYS DEAD (just wait until next year’s Justice League). Now, if LaBeouf takes on the role in a series of flashbacks ONLY, I’d give him benefit of the doubt.

Either way, the joke’s on us.
