Another Win for ‘Suicide Squad’: Soundtrack Goes Gold

In another big win for Suicide Squad, one of many, despite critical backlash and projected failure, the soundtrack has sold enough copies to go gold. This film went all-out when it came to the music and that was something that even people who didn’t necessarily like the movie seemed to appreciate.

This news was revealed by Atlantic Records president of film & TV, Kevin Weaver.

The soundtrack for Suicide Squad featured both classic rock hits and contemporary favorites, as well as hit new songs recorded for the film including “Sucker for Pain” by Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa and Imagine Dragons with Logic and Ty Dolla $ign (featuring X Ambassadors)

Continuing to rise in the global box office, Suicide Squad currently sits at $720 million worldwide.
