James Gunn Shares His Thoughts on the 'Justice League' Trailer Dark Knight News

No matter your preference – Marvel Cinematic Universe or DC Extended Universe – you are no doubt aware that the first full trailer for Justice League dropped a few days ago. If you’re like me, you’ve already done a frame-by-frame and watched the thing so many times you know every single word and music cue. But I digress.

For as long as the two companies have been around, there has been a strict rivalry between DC and Marvel. However with the beginning of the MCU back in 2008, a whole new ground has been broken. The two comic heavyweights are competing in the film industry now and there is a huge divide amongst fans. Some love Zack Snyder. Some love Kevin Feige. Everyone dislikes Joss Whedon. So the one frequently asked question: why can’t we like both? While I won’t get into that right now, I may have found someone who does.

Both surprisingly and unsurprisingly, James Gunn – who you may or may know as the writer of such films as Scooby-Doo and Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed, and the writer/director of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1 and 2 – has actually thrown his support behind the new Justice League trailer. That’s right – someone who works for Marvel is actively endorsing something DC is doing. We finally have proof that you can like both! You can check out the original tweet from Gunn below.

So there you have it! James Gunn likes the Justice League trailer. But why wouldn’t he? I am yet to come across anyone who dislikes it, aside from those trolls asking where Superman is. I have no time for them.
