Gotham season 4 is due for release in late September. Fox is giving fans a look at what they can expect to see.
With much of Season 3 focusing on Bruce’s development as a fighter, it appears that Season 4 will let him put those skills to good use.
Season 4 will be a step up for Bruce Wayne as he attempts, for the first time, to bring his own brand of justice to Gotham City. The big reveal for this promo is Bruce donning a disguise.
Bruce will become ‘The Mask’
This new suit is not the one that will become iconic, but it has some similarities. While the ears and the cape are missing he does appear to have another adopted another name, ‘The Mask” and the basic face coverings seem to be there.
Along with the new look for Bruce, fans will also be introduced to Jonathan Crane Jr, AKA The Scarecrow.
He will join the villains already announced for this season including Poison Ivy, Catwoman, Ra’s Al Ghul, Solomon Grundy and The Penguin.
While it is doubtful that we will see a full Batman anytime soon on Gotham, it is obvious that we can see that Dark Knight’s origins is starting to take shape.
The series is currently exploring pre Year One territory, so don’t be expecting to see a Batmobile popping up in the near future.
Gotham season 4 premieres Thursday, September 28 on FOX.
