‘Justice League’ is Projected to Open at $150 Million

Box Office Pro projects Justice League to open at $150 million domestically on its first weekend.

Wonder Woman’s financial and critical buzz contributed to the film’s high box office projections. Additionally, news of Joss Whedon replacing Zack Snyder as director and continuing interest in Batman helped boost the film’s anticipation levels.

‘Thor’ versus ‘Justice League’

However, Thor: Ragnarok will be the biggest predictor for Justice League’s box office. Thor: Ragnarok comes out just two weeks prior to Justice League. Furthermore, it is expected to pull in $100 million on opening weekend. In the end, the audience’s sustained interest in Thor will dictate how much money Justice League will pull in. Hopefully, there will be a big enough market for both movies to succeed.

Justice League hits theaters November 17, 2017.
