‘Dark Knight’ Trilogy 4K Ultra HD Blu-Rays Announced

Attention, technophiles and movie buffs, some very essential viewing is heading to 4K Ultra Blu-ray. WB announced on Friday that they would be releasing 7 of Christopher Nolan’s movies to the new format, right on time for Christmas.

The Christopher Nolan Collection will feature the following films from his library:

  • The Prestige
  • Batman Begins
  • The Dark Knight
  • The Dark Knight Rises
  • Inception
  • Interstellar
  • Dunkirk

Each film will be in glorious 2140p video with HDR. The entire collection will sell for $149.99, which is a steal for that many movies in that fantastic format.

For those Batfans who simply want the Dark Knight trilogy, you’re in luck. WB is selling each movie separately for $24.99 or the trilogy collection for $70.99.

Check out the sparkly new covers below:

There’s certainly a trend to those covers. Headshots of the main focus of the movies are simple, but they’re pretty iconic and the muted colors do evoke a certain power. I do not own any equipment to play these movies, but Black Friday is coming soon.

You can add all of them to your home collection on December 19th. Better pre-order ahead for Christmas.
