‘Batman: The Animated Series’ Debuts in HD

Mark Hamill is the Joker and Kevin Conroy is Batman

The DC Universe streaming site will showcase Batman: The Animated Series in HD for the first time ever.

Up until now, the much-vaunted BTAS has never been presented in High Definition quality. Even with the DVD release back in 2008, Warner Bros. still didn’t upgrade the series to HD.

The DC Universe streaming service changes that. Along with the first two seasons of BTAS, the service will provide other older animated and live action DC shows and original content. Additionally, there are plans to release the series onto High Def Blu Ray some time in 2018.

On Twitter, DC Universe uploaded a promo to announce BTAS in High Definition.

The DC Universe streaming service is set to release sometime late 2018.
