Ever wondered what it’d be like to have your own super powers? If you live in the Indianapolis area, wonder no longer. The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis have opened the DC Super Heroes: Discover Your Super Powers which will remain open until November 25 of this year.
Visitors to the exhibition will be able to race against the Flash, rescue artefacts alongside Wonder Woman or even fly like Superman thanks to green screen technology. Families are also encouraged to take a personality test, finding out which hero they are most like.
Visitors to the Hall of Justice will be able to lift a building, as well as send a video of all their heroic feats home to show off to all their friends and family.
Teamwork Makes The Dream Work
Not only will families be able to test out their abilities alongside some of DC’s greatest heroes, but they’ll also be able to work together as they learn the importance of teamwork at the Hall of Justice. Working together, to solve problems and catch the villains in a series of challenges. In one particular situation, The Joker has sabotaged the bat-signal and Batman needs your assistance to fix it!
Dr. Jeffery H. Patchen, the president and CEO of The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, had this to say about the exhibit;
The characters of the DC universe are iconic symbols of teamwork, self-discovery, strength, and justice that inspire children and families to be more than we are, and do more than we thought we could. When we combine our strengths and help to compensate for each other’s weaknesses, we can overcome our obstacles together.
The heroes and characters within the DC universe, have inspired kids and grown ups alike for generations. With the technology we have nowadays, these sorts of exhibits are sure to be opening up all over the globe. In the world we live in today heroes are more important than ever. I certainly am a fan of these sorts of events and exhibitions happening, I only wish they’d happen closer to me!
