Storyboard Artist For ‘Justice League’ Addresses Rumour Of Finished Snyder Cut

The fabled “Snyder Cut”. Does it exist? Doesn’t it exist?

Very few things have been discussed more by DC fans, especially in the last year, since the theatrical release of Justice League. Fans have had heated discussions about whether or not a finished cut of the movie, by Snyder, exists.

Recent comments from storyboard artist, Jay Oliva added fuel to the already raging fire. Now Oliva is setting things straight. In an interview with Revenge of the Fans, Oliva had this to say when asked whether or not Snyder had worked towards finishing a cut.

I know he’s working on his next film. As for working on the JL cut, I don’t think so. I’m sure he’s having discussions with the studio and I think that the #ReleaseSnyderCut movement has helped facilitate that.

Oliva then goes on to state that what he feels the ReleaseSnyderCut movement is about.

That’s what the whole movement is about. It’s not about finishing the film it’s about showing the fans of Zack’s universe established in MoS and BvS the more accurate representation of where the story was supposed to go.

The Big Question

The question that I’m sure everyone’s itching to ask, or find out the answer to. Will there be a released, fully edited and cut version of the production?

Well I wouldn’t discount Zack having a trailer ready. (He’s really good at cutting trailers) but I don’t think he’s been working on JL since I’m sure he has a cut he’s happy with that he screened to execs way back in the editing of JL prior to Whedon.

While Oliva has stated that there is apparently a cut of the movie that Snyder is happy with. That does not mean it is a smooth Director’s Cut however, when asked what he’d like from the studio; Oliva said this.

If the studio does not want to finish up the movie then to release the WIP [Work In Progress] cut that was shown to execs before Whedon was put in charge.

Although there is still no definitive answer as to whether or not we will get to see a “Snyder Cut”, either a WIP or full Director’s Cut, it is however, clear that is some form of production that Snyder was happy enough with to show the Warner Bros. executives.

If the studio is reluctant to spend time and money on editing the Snyder version of Justice League, the least they could do is release the cut he was happy with.

Release The Snyder Cut!
