‘Injustice 2’ Director Addresses ‘Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe’ Sequel Rumour

Ed Boon, the designer for the Mortal Kombat video game series, including the 2008 Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe, also known as my introduction to the franchise. Oh man, does this game hold nostalgic value for me?!? I remember playing this game on the XBox 360 with my friends. I totally owned as The Flash!

Anyway… the actual reason you all clicked on the article.

With the crushing success of Injustice 2, and Mortal Kombat X still being played professionally at tournaments up and down the US, so it was only natural for fans to start hoping that the two might combine once again, with a sequel to the 2008 hit. That is until Boon went on Twitter and addressed the rumours and theories.

Boon states, in the tweet, that the next NetherRealm game isn’t a Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe sequel. Which makes this fan unhappy indeed. I’d love to see a sequel to the game, but alas, it looks like I might have to live without it.

I’m be okay with that, so long as they keep pumping out Injustice games.

I have a title to keep, and a rep to maintain!
