‘Batwoman’ Casts Dougray Scott To Play Kate Kane’s Father

They’re building up the Bat-family. The upcoming CW series Batwoman, from Greg Berlanti’s Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros Television, follows through with more casting news. They have their eyes on Dougray Scott to portray Jacob Kane, the father of Batwoman.

As well as the casting choice, Marcos Siega will now be directing the pilot, and is also coming on as an executive producer. He is taking over from David Nutter, who has had to step down for personal reasons, but will stay on the pilot as another executive producer.

Batwoman will be written by Caroline Dries.

An iconic heroine, played by the talented Ruby Rose who blew the CW away with her appearance, Batwoman’s father is a Military man. Kate Kane carries a strong moral background for Justice. Batwoman will be the first-ever lesbian lead in a live-action superhero television series.

Dougray Scott, Mission Impossible 2 villain and Hemlock star, is set to play Jacob Kane. He leads Gotham’s security firm known as The Crow. With a sense of justice in him as well, he wants to protect the city better and more safely than the vigilantes that roam the streets. Of course, he would have a daughter like Kate. Will he be a nemesis to Batwoman, or will he become her benefactor?

In addition, Siega, the executive producer, has worked on The Vampire Diaries, God Friended Me, The Following, and Time After Time. As well as being executive producer on and directing several episodes of Netflix’s chilling show You.

Sounds like the team is forming well, with Rachel Skarsten playing villainess, Red Alice.

DC is doing great with their bombshells!
