Gotham returns tonight with the episode “They Did What?” Ahead of the broadcast Fox has released an all new video featuring Bane, played by Shane West, in all his neck-breaking glory.
Here’s the Fox network’s synopsis for tonight’s penultimate episode:
As Bane (guest star Shane West) enacts his final plan for Gotham’s destruction, Gordon rallies his former enemies to save the city. Meanwhile, Nyssa Al Ghul (guest star Jaime Murray) kidnaps Barbara’s newborn daughter, with ambitions to raise her as her own. Then, Bruce’s decision to leave Gotham points him to his destiny, while devastating Selina.
It’s uncanny how much West looks and sounds like Tom Hardy’s Bane, from Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight Rises. The level of research and passion that the actor’s putting into the performance bodes well for tonight’s show.
