“The Terminus Agenda” – Epilogue

Well, Wow! Teen Titans #30 really packs a punch. The Epilogue to The Terminus Agenda ties up those niggling loose ends and sets us up for what we’ve all been waiting for, the arrival of a very important family member.
The Titans’ ongoing internal debates really come to a head, and with the exposure of the prison, the already high tensions are amplified. As I’ve previously mentioned in my other reviews I’m a big fan of Adam Glass’ writing and the way he creates friction amongst the group, exposing their weaknesses in the process. In saying that though it’s his ability to bring it all full circle and make the team somehow work. This issue is no exception and really hammers home the dysfunctional elements of the group. However this is also the first time I’ve genuinely been left wondering if they will survive, not only the next threat, but each other.
Bernard Chang delivers his signature style as always but I felt this issue was different. I can’t exactly place what it is, but there was definitely something new going on. I like it though, in fact I’d go as far as to say that I love it. The art and color combination adds brilliantly to Glass’s writing and really expresses the movement and, more importantly, the emotions of the group.
Conclusion
Teen Titans #30 is a wonderful conclusion to the Terminus Agenda arc. It closes up the Deathstroke threat, exposes the team to danger from within and begins the next exciting arc. Personally I can’t wait to see how the team deal with this. Beautiful art blended with great color and Adam Glass’ continued excellence with storytelling means the winning streak continues… and long may that be the case.
