The wait is finally over! We have the final trailer for Joker. The Todd Phillips production looks stunning! We get a proper look at Joaquin Phoenix’s version of the iconic character, as well as his time as Arthur Fleck.
The trailer gives us a deeper understanding of what breaks Arthur and transforms him into the clown. From what we can see, the transformation is something similar to that from the acclaimed The Killing Joke graphic novel. It will be interesting to see how the transformation comes about throughout the movie.

We also get a taste of the infamous laugh, or at least, Phoenix’s version, and is it just me or does everyone else get Mark Hamill vibes? The laugh is usually what either makes or breaks a Joker performance, and this one seems like it’s going to make it.
Everything about this trailer indicates it’s going to be a great film. It also seems like Phoenix’s character is the centre of a revolution. If that is the direction that Phillips has taken, it will be very interesting to see how it plays into the psyche of Phoenix’s Joker.
