Popular musical artist Rihanna has officially confirmed that there have been no serious talks of her playing Poison Ivy.
Last week, the pop singer posted a video with an unrelated caption: “Bat-mobile, but make it fashion!” This caption led to speculation that Rihanna will play a role in the upcoming Batman movie by Matt Reeves. Additionally, the pop singer has a penchant for dyeing her hair red, which led fans to think she was set to play Poison Ivy.

However, in an interview with ET, Rihanna confirmed that no official talks are currently happening. Specifically, she directly addressed how the above-mentioned video has nothing to with being casted. When asked if the video hinted at anything, the pop star seemed genuinely surprised by the speculation it generated.
“Wait did I hint anything? Oh that?! Really? That!? Are you serious? No, that has nothing to do with Poison Ivy.”
Rihanna on the Future
Rihanna sounded open to being casted at the villainess, despite shooting down the Poison Ivy rumor. She professed loving Batman and being inspired by Uma Thurman’s take on the character.
“That [post] has to do a lot with Batman [because] I have separate obsessions. I have bigger obsession with Poison Ivy, I’m just being honest. And yeah, I dyed my hair red, because of Uma Thurman in the original [Batman and Robin]. You know what, they didn’t call me yet. But if they did, I would love to go in and try out, because Poison Ivy is one of my obsessions in life. I did it for Halloween one year, I mean come on!”
