ORLY nail polish... fantabulous?
Article by Sam McTernan

That’s right! As well as an explosive trailer, there have been new Birds of Prey posters released. In fact four new art pieces have been unveiled, promoting Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) to give the movie’s full name. DC and Warner Bros. have really put some effort in.

Check out the posters below.

Personally I love them, they’re bright, fun and pretty bizarre. The unique images certainly give me high hopes for a different direction for the DCEU. Birds of Prey is in fact all about new directions, for Harley in particular. You might have just about noticed her in the posters above.

Birds of Prey will see Harley getting a new lease on life after breaking up with The Joker, which leads to her forming an unlikely alliance with Black Canary (Jurnee Smollett-Bell), Huntress (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), and Renee Montoya (Rosie Perez). Together, the group must work to rescue a young girl named Cassandra Cain (Ella Jay Basco) from Black Mask (Ewan McGregor), one of Gotham’s most formidable crime lords.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead had this to say about working on the movie.

You can expect something really fun and a bit wild and totally unique. Every day we were there, we were doing something that just felt really weird and funny and unlike anything else I’ve seen before in this genre. It was incredibly exciting to get to do that. We really got to work. We just played, and we had fun.

Between the posters and Winstead’s interview, it’s a very safe bet that this will be a fun movie. I’m certainly excited, are you? Let us know your thoughts, we’d love to hear from you.

Here’s the first trailer!
