Director Matt Reeves has officially announced the beginning of filming on The Batman. On Twitter, Reeves revealed the clapperboard for the movie, with Reeves and Greig Fraser’s emblazoned on it, resting on an antique leather chair.

Reeves also tweeted a mini shout-out to Fraser, as well as using the hashtag #DayOne.

Fraser is an Australian cinematographer and The Batman‘s director of photography.

Despite Reeves’ announcement, filming for the movie has been already ongoing for the past few weeks. In fact, leaked photos are coming out of the film’s London shooting location. Photos include peeks at Colin Farrell’s Penguin and some motorcyclist who may or may not be Bruce Wayne.

The Batman hits theaters on June 25, 2021.
