Review by Philip Clark

We’re back again! Young Justice #14 brings us even more chaos and characters added to the roster. Impulse has found even more heroes to join the team! While Bart is on roundup duty, the rest of the gang are trying to figure out a way into a super secret S.T.A.R Labs complex run by Dr Glory. Then there’s Superboy! Who’s stranded on a mystical planet… again.

So, there’s a lot going on in the pages of this comic book. But hey, it’s my job to digest it down and give you lovely folks a reason why to read it.

Superboy Goes To Hell

Man, Conner just can’t catch a break! First he’s stranded on Gemworld, then almost hours after getting back together with his friends and escaping back to Earth he’s stranded again! This time however, Dr Glory has done her research. She sends him to Skartaris, a world filled with magic, and now Kryptonite weaponry?! Oh, that’s right, amongst everything else, Dr Glory is now also an inter-dimensional arms dealer.

Luckily, Superboy has a friend on Skartaris who goes by the name of Warlord.

We Got This!

I really love seeing a great team come together, and let me tell you, there is no greater team than that of Young Justice. The artwork this issue is back to its wonderful glory! Even the “cartoon networky” art of Skartaris wasn’t as jarring this issue. The artwork only enhanced the writing of Bendis and Walker, who really bring the heroes alive!

They got this!

Conclusion

This is a fantastic issue of Young Justice. I honestly love everything Brian Michael Bendis does when he writes about young heroes, especially a team of them! I mean, what he’s building Young Justice into is literally a teenage Justice League. The roster alone is fast approaching that of League size and power levels!

Young Justice #14 is another brilliant, must read issue for all fans of the series!
